Are my dependents covered for Health Insurance?
No.

Do I apply for IHSS by calling the Public Authority?
No, everyone who wants to apply for IHSS in San Francisco must call the Department of Aging and Adult Services (DAAS) Intake Line at 415-557-5251. DAAS will file your application. If you are eligible, DAAS will send a social worker to your house to assess how many hours of home care you can receive through IHSS.

Call the Public Authority when you:
-Have enrolled in IHSS and need help finding a worker.
-Need an on-call replacement worker.

-Are a homecare worker and want to be referred to consumers through our Central Registry.
-Are an IHSS worker and would like to receive free training in health and safety, personal care, CPR, and First Aid.

-Have general questions about IHSS services.
-Have questions about your health/dental benefits.

Do I have to apply for Dental Benefits?
Yes, all eligible IHSS workers must apply in order to receive dental benefits. An application packet will be automatically sent to you when you become eligible for dental benefits.
